 If your business has a turnover less than R5 million per annum, or is in its first year of registration, than it qualifies for exemption from the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice.
Your business will automatically receive the status as 100% BEE compliant (Level 4 Contributor) implying that your clients can immediately recognise R1 for every R1 that they spend with your business. Should the business be more than 50% black-owned; then it qualifies for a promotion to the next level – 110% BEE compliant (Level 3 Contributor) meaning that your clients recognise R1,10 for every R1 that they spend on you.

- Completed EME Declaration IC-L08.
- Initial each page and sign the last page of the Verification Agreement IC-L01.
A copy of your latest financial statements signed by your Auditor/Accounting Officer and the business owner(s). Should the financial statements be older than 6 months, up-to-date management accounts signed by the business owner(s) or VAT submissions for the last 12 months must be provided as well.
Alternatively, a letter from the Auditor/Accounting Officer confirming the up-to-date turnover of the business will suffice.
Please note that the Auditor/Accounting Officer must correlate with that listed on the business founding documents. Should this not be the case, we require a letter/resolution signed by the Directors/Members listing their names and ID numbers, and stating the appointment of the new Auditor/Accounting Officer acting on behalf of the business.
If your business has any black ownership (Indian, Coloured, African or Chinese SA citizens), then forward us the Identity Documents of the shareholder(s).
